Democrat ran cities were much better in the Clinton era and below. After Obama the dems are unrecognizable to me. They've lost me. I'd much rather live in a red area because they at least keep law and order and people aren't ****ting and shooting dope openly on the streets, at least the repubs don't let that happen, no where the same as the dems do.

And Omaha was incorporated as a city in 1854. If you look at its history of mayors, the majority of them have been democrats.

But even under Republican mayors things were not all that rosy. My point is that political party doesn't matter that much.

I agree with you there.

I was addressing your comment that Omaha was a republican city, which it is not. Nebraska is a republic state. Omaha has historically leaned democratic. But it’s pretty much a 50/50 mixed bag today.

Your obviously not from here.
City of Phoenix, Democrat run and controlled. Thank goodness for sane Republicans in the rest of the valley. If it were not for Phoenix we would have one of the lowest crime rates in the country. Democrats, cant help but to screw up their cities.

I spoke to soon when I said Omaha just had a broken window.

Omaha is as bad as Minneapolis now it seems based on the news video.

They had issues Friday night but Saturday night was complete and utter chaos in Omaha based on what the news channels there.

Things really escalated in Omaha Saturday night, massive chaos.

Many downtown buildings damaged in Omaha.

There was also a volley of gunshots crowded with protestors and the ABC affiliate KETV video shows medics doing CPR.
