We are still struggling with a pandemic and government overreaction. One that has put 40 million on unemployment, destroyed hundreds of thousands of small businesses. The life's savings of many thousands of people. Things were slowly returning to normal, with businesses being allowed to slowly reopen. People were excited and welcomed some hope and positive news. There was a sense of optimism about the future.

Now-we have savage animals across the nation burning homes, destroying the businesses that had managed to survive the government dictates, assaulting and murdering people. And no-this isn't a racial comment (animals)-it's about the actions of these sub-humans-many of whom are white. It's a wakeup call to just how many garbage human beings there are in this nation.

Sadly, the directions from "leaders" in many cities has been just as pathetic. Rather than doing their job, squashing the riots and the violence, protecting innocent people, they allow the animals to run wild. The losses to the innocent have been horrific-and yet again elected officials won't be held accountable. Instead of protecting the innocent they will likely follow the approaches of the past and cater to the animals with more handouts and more money spent on them.

It's obvious that we can't expect anything from our governments, states, locals, and federal, in times of civil unrest. But...we have 80 million gun owners, 300 million guns and a few trillion rounds of ammo. It's becoming apparent that we need to take things in our own hands, take our cities back from the animals and protect innocent business owners and homeowners and innocent people in general. I've never been interested in the militia "movement" before, but now, more than ever in my life, I understand the need for armed civilians that will help protect people with "the authorities" refuse to do so.

You have to wonder where all the registered gun owners were when the riots were going on? LOL I guess if its just one guy holding up a convenience store, they get involved and help out, but if its 1000s of people rioting, they are hiding out at home!

Your thread question should really be......

WTF is wrong with people on the left?

The people committing the crime we are witnessing are not representative of the country I'm proud to live in.

Election Day will reinforce that.

Surely you're not surprised...? These animals live for moments like this. They care not for the poor individual who was killed, this is just an excuse for them to take to the streets and feel important....not to mention picking up a few large-screen TV's on the way.......

I'm struggling to comprehend how smashing windows at a Hooters in Phoenix helps out the situation in Minneapolis even a little bit.

You're right, it may be time for the populace to protect themselves and their property if the government/police will not........

The rioters have destroyed any support for gutting police forces and pushing changes in oversight. In fact, they drive the opposite reaction-they show the need for a strong law enforcement presence to offer protection from the savages. One that sadly hurts the innocent too, in the form of ever higher taxes and a more oppressive tool for civilian masters in mayor's and governor's offices across the nation, as we already saw. Those "masters" use LE to attack innocent people, not to protect them from the criminals.

What were they rioting about again?

Vandalism and looting are as old as mankind. Happens in wars, natural disasters and riots.

It was very common for Nazis and locals to loot and vandalize the properties of Jewish and other Perceived undesirable people taken into custody, throughout most of Europe.

Unlike the senseless crimes of opportunity that happens in the US, looting was well organized by Nazis and local governments as well as neighbors.

It’s not a crisis it’s not a time for us all to pull together —for many it’s an opportunity for payback for how they feel they have been disrespected -and a great opportunity to loot some really good stuff

Those who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it. Here's a song that bears testament to a similar time of anger, hatred, and confusion in the past:
