I know that I can be indifferent at times and even a little bit ... some would call mean!
(Only a 'little' bit though)

And yes, it is rare that I find something or someone who can reduce me to almost human!

Now that I've given my Sunday confession I can truly say that ... This affected me greatly!

A bunch of losers did the looting and burning. You have to feel badly for the average citizen that just wants to live their life but now they have no where close by to get food and essentials.

I really feel for the business owners. Imagine having a small business and you have done everything you were supposed to do to keep it afloat during the Covid19 lock down and you were looking forward to the next few weeks when you would be able to open your doors to welcome the employees and customers back so you could finally start digging out of the financial hole you were thrown into and then some losers come by to loot and burn your store to the ground.

That has to be terrible.

Yeah, I posted that on another thread. It made me very sad, too.
The whole time I'm watching these criminals destroy these neighborhoods, all I could think of was the elderly and what the heck were they going to do? When you get old, your options become more and more limited. It's harder to get around, etc.

If white Antifa types burnt down and destroyed these neighborhoods - is that racism?

It's always black neighborhoods that take the hit. Is that random people who lose control of themselves, or is it something else? ...or a combination of both?

This has happened enough times where it's time to think differently in how one's voice is heard that does not put black neighborhoods at risk.

If white supremacists burned down and destroyed these neighborhoods - is that racism?

Yes... regardless of which side of the aisle they reside.

You are not helping the situation. All you are trying to do is paint Trump and those on the right as bad. You really don't care.

I have two black sons that I don't want ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

If you want to pretend that the only white folks that don't like black folks exist on the right, you may be fooling yourself - but not me.

Rioting almost never directly affects those for whom the rioters anger is purportedly towards. The overwhelming majority of those negatively affected by rioters are collateral damage since the point of the riot is to simply cause damage and let one's 'inner thug' loose. While the above is sad, it's unfortunately is the same story played out over and over every time something like this happens.
