More or less offensive than kneeling for the anthem?

They aren't protesting the US Flag, and aren't burning it like Kaepernick and his domestic terrorist buddies would. It seems to be more of a distress signal, as they are the thin blue line right now between normal people and their mass-victimization against mobs of the criminally insane. And they are under attack and undermanned.

They sure look to be in distress with their backs to...everything staring up at their abomination. How many people does it take to raise a flag?

That blue-line flag is a perfect example of unintended symbolism.

Stripes on the top. Stripes on the bottom. And the blue line protecting those on the top from those on the bottom.

I have an issue with this. If they wanted to fly it under the American flag, cool. But ultimately, a police officer's first duty after whatever higher power they may or may not believe in, is to the country, as governed by the Constitution of the United States of America. I also take exception when a police flag replaces the American flag, such as at funerals. I don't know of agencies other than the NYPD that do that right off hand, but it needs to stop.
