It's a riot. The Police will cuff anyone whom they are unsure about.

Remember, they don't have to be there to take anyone's abuse. They can go away in an instant. Then you're in trouble.

No one riots and maims like these rioters are unless that behavior is an innate part of their personality.

Policing them is a great generosity and burden that allows their communities to function at all, and in spite of their demons. That can all go away in an instant. And it might. Then those neighborhoods are done.

She certainly did not help LOL. She for sure meant well, but she was clearly overwhelmed and emotional. Could barely get her words out.

Situations like that are incredibly stressful and unless folks have been around something like that before, it's hard to know how you will react.

Let's say you are a cop in this riot. Maybe you are working double shifts through all this chaos. You've spent all day asking people to describe the suspect, and most of the time, it's African American male. So you show up and see African American males. You may assume at least some of them are there, up to no good. There is total confusion, you are trying to process all kind of people yapping at once and what they are trying to say. You can't restart the video from the beginning to make out what is going on, this is real time.

Oh, and people are shooting and stabbing police officers. And you have no control over the situation in front of your face.

I can understand why these sort of things happen from time to time. I wouldn't want to do their job, sorry.
