Now California liberals will accelerate their exodus from the hell hole. Problem is, they bring their nutty liberalism with them wherever they go.

Correct, and a budget cut is the last thing LAPD needs, the same is true for surrounding communities. We'll see if the mayor will volunteer to reduce officers and patrols in his neighborhood first. Fat chance.

Not my problem, I don't live there nor can I vote there.

Everyone knows where the patrol cuts will come and that will be the poorer neighborhoods. They may even brand it as "less intrusive" and wrap it up with a bow on top as if it's done to "combat racism".

In reality, those are just the parts of the city with no money to contribute, no political power so that is where the city will be able to get away with it.

But hey, feel free to vote for another mayor....who will do the exact same things.

All the major cities do after these incidents is say nice words, launch some ineffectual programs that don't cost too much money and do some photo ops with "community leaders" and NAACP officials etc. Then those leaders and officials will be on boards, hired as consultants...their spouses will get city contracts....as long as they play ball.

This seems like a knee-jerk response bordering on the criminally stupid. There are better ways of addressing the issue.

Cmon people, don't you know a virtue-signaling accounting trick when you see one? They are not going to defund their police department, but they can change funding lines, move money around and make it LOOK LIKE they defunded the police, but they didn't. It's a line on a spreadsheet and an alternate account designation.

Nothing is going to change with LAPD.
