Target has announced that it will help rebuild damaged businesses in the Minneapolis area that are owned by blacks or other people of color.
Among the items under the headline of "Target Commits $10 Million and Ongoing Resources for Rebuilding Efforts and Advancing Social Justice" is this:

10,000 hours of pro-bono consulting services for Black- and people-of-color-owned small businesses in the Twin Cities, helping with rebuilding efforts.
OK, it's nice that they're helping these small businesses out. But why only those owned by blacks and other POCs? Why not help the businesses owned by whites? How does it help advance the cause of "social justice" to exclude certain people based on race?
Nothing that they're doing is illegal, as far as I know. Certainly they can direct their money however they see fit. Personally, I like shopping at Target; I find it to be a much more pleasant experience than going to certain of their competitors. But as a white man, I find it annoying that they're ignoring small businesses owned by people who look like me, simply because of the color of their skin.
I think that’s awful. White business have been hit hard by looters and other scumbags, too. Why such favoritism based on race? Isn’t that what bigotry is all about - treating people differently based on skin color?

noun: bigotry; plural noun: bigotries def: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself.
By that definition America has itself a Bigot in Chief.

I'll not shop at racist virtue signalling Target any more.

Because blacks and other POC are often denied this type of help through traditional channels. While it would be great if Target "targeted" everyone (I crack myself up, lol), I am sure they have a limited resource to help, and are probably trying to direct it to where they may be most helpful.
Orrrr, maybe Target is just trying to build up good will so that they hopefully won't be targeted in the next civil unrest.
