The rightwing has all the power to actually enforce their brand of extremism, and the left does not, as they are scattered voices in the wilderness.

And that's what really matters.

Yes, I consider AOC to be an "extremist", even if she doesn't seem to outright advocate violence as an option to gain power. She's a socialist and, to me, any socialist is an extremist. I know they have picked up steam and gained some popularity in recent years through Bernie Sanders & AOC but I do still view them as extremists.

The essential difference is this:

As a libertarian, I have no desire to impose my values on anyone else.

OTOH, Leftists (including their snowflake following), have plenty of plans to impose theirs on everyone.

If you're pushing the green new deal, which is a compete revamp of several industries how can that not be an extremist?? I mean take the negative edge off of the word and just examine the definition of the word.

Of course AOC is an extremist, to say otherwise is strange.

Leave it to Cotton to head straight to the Stupid Place at a dead run whenever there is a controversy.

What plans are they imposing on everyone? Equality? Not kneeling on people's necks who are already handcuffed and on the ground? Wanting to help those who are less fortunate? Can't see a downside to those values.

Cotton continues to surprise when you think he just made the dumbest statement he always out does himself. Wrong on Iran, wrong on the virus and now doing a great job stirring the flames. He's a first class idiot.
