Default DA announces charges in Rayshard Brooks case ...

Press conference now ...

(Dammit. Can a mod correct my typo in the title?)

Still going through everything ... DA is basically saying Brooks was a jovial nice guy.

He was never informed that he was under arrest for DUI.

Brooks never presented himself as a threat.

For 2 minutes, there was no medical attention to Brook as is required after a shooting by police officer.

Officer kicked Brooks while he was on the ground.

Other officer stood on Brooks shoulders.

DA believes that Brooks did not pose a serious threat after taking the stun gun.

DA said the victim was calm and cordial and displayed a cooperative nature. (I guess not counting fighting with the officers and stealing their weapon.)

Pathetic. The video shows different.

Issued warrants for arrest...

Waiting to see what charges are...

In these early days, I am siding with the cops on this one.

It all comes down to a split second decision, with someone pointing something at you.... imo.

If the deceased wasn't informed of their arrest, that could be a problem though.

He was calm and cordial and then he lost it because he knew with his record of beating kids - he'd get his butt kicked back in jail.

They don’t even mention that he resisted and punched the officer?

Now he says Mr. Brooks never displayed any aggressive behavior. (Again, not counting his fighting and trying to laser the cop.)

Also said he was peaceful in his car. Wasn’t he in the drive thru?

NOPE. In fact, DA claims that he “was fighting for his life” when he was fighting with the cops. Did either cop draw a weapon at that point?
