When you can't even question it, racism can be used as an unchecked tool to bring down anyone who is just telling the truth. Sad.
It's what they're aiming for.

The onus is on the one making the claim.

Free speech mean the government cannot stop you from speaking your mind. Like Trump is trying to do to John Bolton.

Private companies, schools and churches are within their rights to censor speech of employees when they are acting on behalf of that organization. If the chaplain told the congregation that the Bible was fake and the Pope was a fraud, he might expect to get fired too.

Good example. If you were a math teacher, you could be fired for teaching that 2+2 = 5. That would not be abridging your right to free speech.

If you go to the town square and shout "2+2 = 5", you can't be arrested, because you have a right to free speech.

So if we are going to worry about the moral standing of the victim, how about examining the moral standing of the killer cop?

Frankly doesnt matter. Cop murdered a restrained suspect that wasnt fighting the restaint. Thats the whole story. Doesnt matter if George was a saint or sinner. This is about the actions of a vicious cop wanting the thrill of a kill.

Every time the cops kill someone, people on social media want to bring up that the guy "was no angel", "had a record", "was a bad man", all of which is irrelevant.

As for the racial angle, I agree with the chaplain: we don't know for a fact that this was racially motivated.
Only because the left hold the victims up to be saints. They are now glorifying career criminals.
What Chauvin did was wrong and he will be punished for it but lets not lose touch with reality and pretend all of the victims of police violence are innocent and virtuous.

Along with police reform we need to reform our youth (all, not just black). We should not be showing them that it is ok to commit crimes, do drugs, resist, abandon your children. The problem with crime, poverty and law enforcement needs to be challenged from both directions if things are going to improve. Law enforcement needs to admit, confront and reform problems within their departments and the public also needs to admit, confront and reform problems within society.

The chaplain was just telling the truth.

But it seems the Christian concepts of salvation and forgiveness escaped him.

That’s another thread. This thread is about a person voicing his opinion and because his opinion does not meet the approval of the Left, he is now fired.
