whatever are we going to do with the 64+ counties named after confederates? (unemployment, extremist)

after the art is destroyed by the terrorists, after the streets are renamed by history's biggest temper tantrum, will they rename towns and counties? I was able to find out how many counties were named after confederates, but I imagine the number of towns and cities is astronomical. will the extremists shut their face, or will their unemployment meltdown keep going? when will enough be enough for them?
As a new American I always wondered about the inclination to name schools, streets, counties whatever about a bunch of military that were fighting against the UNITED States of America.

It's something that is just so illogical to me.
Because it’s apart of the history and legacy of America. Those who forget history are bound to repeat it.
It’s not like folks got drunk and randomly started naming everything confederate. The confederate legacy was intentionally preserved for its historical value.
It’s didn’t bother anyone until someone decided it did.

Because they were Americans before the war, The US was fighting against itself and each other, and after it was over they went back to being Americans. America was a very libertarian or classical liberal country in the past, so there was no one to tell people they couldn't name things how they wanted.

This is one of the silliest things conservatives trot out. You should smack yourself in the head.
None of this confederate stuff was done as any kind of cautionary tale. It was all done to honor the confederates.
If we don't want to "repeat" something..... How about we put up a few statues of Jessie Jackson around. How about an "Al Sharpton National Holiday". You know just so we don't repeat the "poverty pimp" thing again.

Because those people were citizens of the U.S.A. for the vast majority of their lives. And after the war was over they re-joined American society. They were looked at as still being Americans, basically.
people don't wanna honor confederates. I get it. the issue here is u mad bro. not going to be an easy task to rename cities and counties. good luck with that.

That would be a vote required in the particular jurisdiction.
