The media could do what they love to do in other cases - which is to repeat something all week, so I'll blame the media, but also blame the police. Happy?
This whole thing didn't quite pass the sniff test to begin with, and the longer it takes, the more it looks like we've been jussied.
Still no descriptions of alleged suspects in terms of public police report. You'd think that by now there would be police fliers of suspect descriptions as well as some kind of video evidence.
As already pointed out, you supposedly have four individuals that lighted someone on fire in public, something that could have seriously injured or killed that person, and the police reaction couldn't be more meh. How is this even remotely normal behavior for such a serious allegation?
One thing I keep thinking though is that if in fact this was a hoax, then wouldn't someone have witnessed it as well? Let's say she was part of the mob that was destroying property and lighting buildings on fire, if she in fact received those injuries from that, wouldn't a witness have said something by now? Or did it happen in her car but then what about car damage?

Clearly this is the kind of statement a mother might write if she knew her daughter was lying and wanted to minimize the backlash that she fears is coming. So it's all about "support", "healing" and the "collective wounds of our society". She's hoping the cops never come out with a definitive statement about how Althea got those marks on her face and that nobody can tie her to Marquon Clark.
hmmm, incidents occur roughly the same time and within a few blocks of each other.....
The investigators have to eventually say something ... right?
