Well hopefully we will get it right next time and not send checks to dead people. Nor should people still getting paid get these checks. Let's target the ones who really need it.
The problem is we need to get the checks out the door fast which also goes against means testing and double sourcing if the recipient is deceased (especially recently say due to the virus) is not the easiest process.
Shouldn’t do it, we can’t afford it. We should do away with the extra $600 a week unemployment and incentivize work.
Yet we are rushing too fast to to work and normalcy which is causing a spike in positives and hospital occupancy rates in the sunbelt. Many bars are shutting back down by state and local government orders. A number of restaurants with positives are shutting down. Meat plants are 100 cases away from shutting back down. The Tolleson JBS plant never shutdown during their caseload that we could see more with all the Maricopa County cases. Hell, not everyone will get their jobs back even if it is furlough. What is your plan for those that cannot return to work?
