Minnesota sees no rise in COVID-19 cases tied to protests: Health official

4,487 tests conducted across four testing sites specifically for protesters resulted in 62 positive cases of COVID-19, for a positivity rate of 1.4%...Another health system in Minnesota, HealthPartners, tested 8,500 protesters in several of their clinics and had a positivity rate of 0.99%

...low infection rate to "the fact that many or most protesters were wearing masks, the events were outside, people were often able to maintain a 6-foot distance, and any exposures were of relatively shorter duration
uh huh

Minnesota law enforcement isn’t “contact tracing” protesters

Prediction: As we see an uptick with Covid cases from protestors, we will also see an uptick in the media crying about the virus disproportionately impacting black people and bitter-angry-unsuccessful 20 year olds.

Maybe you didn’t notice but restaurants, bars, gyms and malls opened with no social distancing and mask requirements. I’m sure protesters caused an increase since many didn’t wear masks but the premature reopening had more of an impact.

Minnesota has the weirdest graph i've ever seen. They either have zero cases or over 1k. It's like a rollercoaster, but their numbers since the protests began have been pretty steady and within their normal average daily caseload. Nice narrative conservatives are coming up with. Too bad, all the major cities with mandatory mask orders have either seen their cases drop since before the protests started or have, at worst, been steady. None of these cities has seen 1000% increases in cases. ONLY the cities that had relaxed rules for reopening and have never had a mask rule since the pandemic, are experiencing dramatic explosions of covid cases.

Houston Protesters Begin to Fall Ill With Coronavirus After Marching for George Floyd

Increasing numbers of Houston residents have reportedly been diagnosed with COVID-19 after attending protests against the death of George Floyd...
We all knew this would happen, but they still got a hall pass for this. The left and the media willfully ignore anyone but Trumpers doing this.

The rise of COVID started before the Floyd killing... but certainly the protests are going to contribute to further rise later on... its just a matter of time which is probably about now.

Florida didn't have big protests. Most parts of Florida had no protests. Yet the virus is spreading quickly in Florida - even in areas that didn't have protests.

All contact with out PPE etc is resulting in higher numbers. Fl just shut all their bars - so yes, the protesters not wearing PPE will get sick as well. couple of weeks from now - the rally numbers will come in.
The new age of hospitalized patients is 36

Ok, so restaurants and bars with roughly 50-100 (I’m being generous with the numbers) people had more of an impact than thousands of people out protesting, with no social distancing and not everyone wearing masks.

Uh-huh. Sure. Of course. Sounds perfectly logical and rational.

There is a thing called a map and with technology now it’s a super tool. Where the Covid reports are being tracked to a location. Bars and restaurants are right now showing high numbers as well as the protestors. More bars than protests cities. Hello
