Does it really matter what I think? The science will go the way the data takes it.

My wish is for option 1. Realistically, I think option 3 is our future, and it will be dismal.

After the 2020 election (depending on who wins) it will mysteriously go away, just as fast as it came, and there will only be speculation, revelation and conspiracy theories as to exactly the reason(s) why.

Perhaps Biden can promise the cure, as he did cancer, just as long as he comes out as the victor.

If 35.5 million Americans had COVID-19, you'd expect about 248,000 deaths.

Given the current death toll, there has likely been something like 20 million Americans already infected with COVID-19.

i think it is here to stay. I think a "vaccine" in the spirit of the Flu "vaccine" will come on the market and be a permanent part of life.

I think over the coming years, human immunity to COVID19 will increase as we adapt over time.

it will eventually become another flu like disease that kills like the flu and we will adapt.

the question in my mind is how long does it take to get there?

I still think that there is more of a correlation between the virus and those who have dies from it, besides it just effecting a specific age group.

I think you need to explain your numbers game. With the data we have available, 2.78M cases and 131k deaths. I don't know how you extrapolate a 13-fold increase in cases to less than a two-fold increase in deaths.
