Good for him and a win against cancel culture.

South Dakota AG Ravnsborg: Trump attendance at Mount Rushmore fireworks is a defeat for ‘cancel culture’

Quote:
The National Park Service under President Barack Obama was at the forefront of the left’s “cancel culture” when it nixed fireworks over Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota a decade ago, citing environmental concerns related to gunpowder. I found such concerns absurd.

Fortunately, things are different under President Trump’s leadership.

President Trump will be in attendance Friday when – for the first time in 10 years – South Dakotans and Americans will once again behold fireworks bursting in midair, illuminating Mount Rushmore’s 60-foot tall busts of some of our nation’s great leaders and celebrating the inception of our nation and the freedom and independence for which it stands.
President Trump says Mount Rushmore fireworks will be a ‘display like few people have seen’

It is wonderful to have a President in office who is so patriotic and loves his country, and wants others to celebrate our nations freedoms with him!

Let's hope Hermain Cain makes it out of the hospital in time to go because masks aren't mandatory!

The reign of irresponsibility continues.

“ Abnormally dry conditions and a persistent risk of summer wildfires in the Black Hills of South Dakota make the fireworks display planned for July 3 at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial an unnecessary, potentially devastating and expensive event, according to one fire expert with intimate knowledge of the region.
...
“Burning debris, the burning embers and unexploded shells fall into a ponderosa pine forest and ponderosa pine is extremely flammable,” said Gabbert. “Shooting fireworks over a ponderosa pine forest, or any flammable vegetation, is ill advised and should not be done. Period.””

Mount Rushmore is probably my favorite monument in the US, it should last millions of years. It's a shame (radicalized) liberals can't enjoy it with us.

A lot of Native Americans take issue with it for many reasons. Are they radicalized liberals too?

Mount Rushmore really is quite beautiful. We visited five years ago and liked it. I can’t help but snicker at the fact that as far as monuments go it’s one that few Americans actually visit, much less talk about ... and yet since the progressives began bagging on it everyone suddenly has an opinion of it.
