We're barely over halfway through the year, and there have already been more mass shootings than there were in all of 2014. 273 as of me writing this, vs 269 in all of 2014.

https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/

Gun violence archive defines a 'mass shooting' as any instance where 4 or more people are shot (not including the perpetrator).

This is no surprise. The pandemic has completely unraveled society: mass hysteria, people locked up for months, deprived of human contact, crashed economies, everything normal upended...mass shootings and rioting in the streets should have been predicted by the 'public health experts.'

Well, I guess when you have a society as "on the edge" as the USA, something like the Covid-19 lockdowns can easily be enough to send it over

Mass shootings are just a statistic, something an accountant FBI Agent can tell us. But in many cases "mass" just means two criminal gangs fighting each other. Even if we fall victim as collateral damage all too often it the random killer we actually fear.

No need to be a Trump apologist on this one. Only a buffoon would think he's to blame. And there are so many facets to "mass" shootings they cannot be encompassed under one umbrella.
