Our local schools are in the process of having students choose between 100% in classroom and 100% distance learning. No hybrid, it's all in or all out. Anyway, that's the plan right now.

All I know is that any of these public school systems in any part of the country need to get this right. Some of them are already not the best and have a robust system of private and charter schools skimming off the better students.

If they really ********** up they're just going to fuel those other schools with students and they're going to fall even further in terms of test scores etc.

I wish them the best, a lot of those areas are *extremely* political with teacher unions etc. and it can be hard to herd all the cats in even the best of times.

Good luck to all the parents that need to go to work and provide for their families. Hello single earner households! Yeah, that will sure help personal prosperity and the economy. No wonder the left wants that.

Many school boards have already made their plans.

Our school board is offering online and in school. They have a whole plan. Schools start as early as August 4th in the southeast -- they weren't waiting for any federal threats I mean mandates to see if the feds were going to provide strong, reliable guidelines.

Great time to be a nanny right now. A good nanny has families fighting over him or her where I live.

And add to that the federal govt. threatening to defund if they the school boards don't operate like the feds like....

that's tough.

All of it -- in school or online needs more funding......and there are no guarantees there will be more funding for any of it.

True -- lots of positions for young people for 'babysitting'.

If you have a bright, self disciplined teen who can do classes online -- she can offer up babysitting/tutoring during the day and get her stuff done at night. I would have loved that.
