..and I don't blame her one little bit...enough is enough

Seattle Police Chief: The City Council Took All Our Non-Lethal Weapons Away As Of Sunday, Do Not Expect Property To Be protected by officers.....

so it's one big free for all....

What about protecting the taxpayers, their property....since they are the ones paying for the party

"Simply put, the legislation gives officers NO ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large, violent crowd."

"For these reasons, Seattle Police will have an adjusted deployment in response to any demonstrations this weekend - as I will never ask our officers to risk their personal safety to protect property without the tools to do so in a safe way."

City representatives apparently want to see the city destroyed. The good people better take a stand or accept it.

If I were a cop I would just call in sick and binge Game of Thrones.

"Seattle to Normal People: Drop Dead"

Insert name of appropriate city, because that is the theme of Summer 2020.

This has been happening for weeks now in many areas. Police are being told to stand down. They are being restricted with what they can do, tactics they can use. And normal people are having our basic human rights violated. Normal people can't move about freely, can't drive on a road safely, can't have basic property rights. In NY at least, the government can be sued if they fail to protect during a riot. I hope people sue other places.

I feel sorry for Carmen Best. She seems like a good person stuck in a crazy city. Hopefully, she will leave and find a nice suburb that doesn't hate police.

It looks like this is the work of the lunatic city council. Even Mayor Jenny didn't want this, it appears.

Essentially the City Council overruled the Mayor and Police Chief. Good luck with that. I guess call the City Council members to respond to violent crime.

YOU are saying that you can't or WON'T do your job. Step aside, someone else will

Cops and Federal Troops are not allowd to use the type of force needed to stop these thugs so why bother. If they are not going to do what is needed to stop these thugs once and for all then there is no need for them to be there and put themselves in danger

Looks like a federal judge intervened and temporarily blocked this:

I am not at all hopeful, though. Seattle doesn't seem to respect law and order.

They should all stay home. And to anyone saying the cops are not doing their job - slap on a badge and strap on a baton (that's all it seems you'll get) and go do it. You'll be running home crying in a matter of hours. Pathetic.
