Good for him. I am black and I have no respect for John Lewis, he was racist, divisive peace of crap who stoked the flames of division for years. Good riddance. He is directly responsible for keeping people of color down, enslaved by the Democratic plantation he helped architect. John Lewis was a poverty pimp who victimized generations of people of color by applying the lash of low expectations to their hides. Every time a black man shoots another black men in a ghetto, you have John Lewis to thank. Lewis took a hand in the holocaust against black children by insuring their slaughter continued in the womb. He was a despicable human being and the nation is far better off now that he is gone.
So it was a mistake for Lewis to go on a Freedom Ride and try to cross that bridge in Selma, since he caused a hell of a lot of trouble and got hurt?
He played golf with Brett Favre. Is that really more important than paying respect to John Lewis? Or do YOU agree with Trump because YOU don't like John Lewis?
Trump should have paid respects. That said shrug, it wouldn't have changed a thing. The haters would find a reason to condemn him if he did pay his respects. I can see the headlines: Trump makes a mockery out of services for Lewis.
Trump attends funeral for one last chance to insult icon.
Just another fine demonstration of what an incredibly petty, small little man he is.
Meanwhile,......
Asked whether he would try to forge a relationship with the president-elect, Lewis said that he believes in forgiveness, but added, "it's going to be very difficult. I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president."
