Why are trump & co so insistent on moving the HQ to DC when the plan was to have a suburban location? And why did they want it as part of the Covid package?

I doubt McConnell will stand firm on this. He always kowtows to his dear leader in the end.

If he does stand firm, it means the GOP has stopped fearing trump and are starting to distance themselves from him.

Maybe he’s just doing what the Socialist Dems do - put in stuff that won’t be acceptable to the other side, just to give him stuff to “give up” as part of a negotiation.
