Something vile is happening in the DHS. We all knew about the caged children, but recently we have seen more troublesome behavior from this department, against Americans now. First we heard about the “proactive” detention of protestors, and more recently spying on American journalists. Their actions of late have attracted the attention of the inspector general and Adam Schiff. I look forward to their investigations on what exactly is going on in this department that is seemingly on a course for illegal, and probably unconstitutional, use of force and intelligence against the American citizenry.

Brian Murphy has been reassigned, something rotten is going on with this dude: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/brian-m...n-journalists/

Is it time to defund DHS?

It's supposed to protect us from terrorists and other nations, the problem is that Trump is the terrorist destroying America.

since both D's and R's cooperated to create the DHS and continue to support it, who is going to defund it?

The DHS has never run well as a department. I agree that it is time to restructure and downsize.

We can't do anything about a President & a Dem Presidential candidate (Biden) spying upon a Republican Presidential candidate (Trump), or a sitting President (Trump), so how are we going to protect against spying on journalists?

If Barr and Durham dont lock up a lot of Dems for a very long time, for illegally spying on Trump, his campaign, and his administration, we don't have a country anymore.

And, yes, we should totally defund the DHS, and just force all the existing law enforcement agencies we already have communicate with each other. That was the problem in the first place that sold have been solved. Adding more beauracracy just makes effective communication more difficult.

There is an acronym error in the title. DHS is not the proper acronym for 'White House'

Obama spied on Trump. He also spied on journalists and he spied on Congress. He also "kept kids in cages".
