Seriously they want stimulus money for an electric car fleet. What does this have to do with corona virus?

It’s no worse than giving $1,200 to some working Americans plus $500 for kids and $1,200 for spouse. As we have heard repeatedly, it’s a “stimulus”, not a “tax refund”. This would be Malibu’s way of stimulating the economy. I doubt that very many of its citizens even receive stimulus despite paying lots of taxes. It’s only right to give them something.

The uber rich already got $190B in pass thru tax law revisions. And they still own congress to get whatever new revisions they want.

Well as long as every one wants to insist on calling it a "stimulus" instead of putting people "on the dole" so they will quarantine it makes sense. You take money and use it to entice , the non essential workers to get off the dole and go to work to try to earn their piece of the stimulus. As an electric vehicle fleet they are hoping for secondary environmental goals to be accomplished.

I guess Malibu has their basic needs handled and will use what many think of as a luxury to stimulate
