All of those things, along with the possible domestic dispute, had put the cops on alert. Don't do those things when it's the cops at your door.

Was it a domestic dispute or was it "game night"? Who knows. But we do know that domestic dispute victims will rarely admit they have been/are being verbally or physically assaulted.
The girlfriend said she was making salsa and chips in the kitchen while her boyfriend was in the bedroom playing a console game and they were talking in louder voices to hear each other.
The caller started out with saying he needed his beauty sleep several times and not being able to which sets the stage on why he called to begin with.

Everything else said is lies and embellishment just to get the cops there, which he also said on the call.

As a homeowner, I can carry a gun around my house where ever I please including opening the door with it.
Now Communists may have a problem with that, but that is their problem.

Sorry if I don't cry for them.
Have you considered reporting the offender?

We have both so your point fails.

Yes but opening the door with a gun in your hand to an LEO will prob give you led poisoning.

I've been a cop for 11 years. Do you know many times people refused to open the door to their home, or even refused to roll down their window during traffic stop because they are "scared" that I may not be a cop? More than I can remember. I asked them to call 911 to verify.

Everyone departed without nobody getting hurt. Why? Nobody pulled a gun on me, that's why.
So what if I bring a gun to the door in my own house.
Are you going to leave your gun in your patrol car before coming to my house?
Homeowners have every right to protect their loved ones and live like everyone else.

Society expects cops to respond to domestic dispute.
Society also expects people have the right to answer the door with gun in hands when they know it's the cops are outside the door.

I have a solution. How about we don't send cops to domestic disputes anymore? The only time we send cops to domestic dispute is when someone is dead.

Problem solved.

If the cops come to your door and identify themselves, and you choose to open the door with a gun in your hand, I would hope your affairs are already in order.

Seriously, what video are you referring to.

If anyone cared to read the articles, the guy who called the cops seemed to falsify that the argument became physical simply because he wanted a faster response by the police. And there was no evidence it was even a domestic dispute, a he said/she said kind of thing. And the guy who was shot had on several occasions had strange people knocking on his door in the middle of the night. If someone knocks on your door again and they are out of line of sight, are you going to automatically assume it's the police? Anyone can say they are police. He clearly knew his surroundings and based on what happened before had every right to protect himself.

No matter how much people try to spin this, the guy was clearly complying with the police by getting on his knees and about to put his hands on the ground when the cop just blasts away at his back. It's like something you see in the movies.
Exactly.
More importantly, the cops partner facing him did not shoot him and you can hear the cop say oh **** when his buddy pumps 3 shots into his back.

They also have the right to make stupid choices and he made one in this instance unfortunately.
