Democrats love taxes, except when they are required to pay them.

Quote:

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was reportedly hit with a $450,000 tax lien last month, and paid it off within just a few days despite having “no discernible income.”

The report from The Washington Free Beacon notes that Hunter Biden told a judge in a paternity case that he was broke and unemployed.

I’m going to assume that he had assets sufficient to cover the bill. I have money set aside savings and investments. He probably does too. I don’t know what to say about the paternity issue. That’s pretty slimy.

At what point do we start attacking the children of a candidate who do not hold a government office? They are private citizens. What's next, cousins? Maybe their mothers? Does anyone think that Trump's children's finances could withstand the light of day? They were on the board of directors of the The Trump Foundation which was shut down as fraudulent charity, paid a $2M fine and was closed down and that was the end of it in the news cycle. Perhaps we should start glaring at them?

If they are adults and they are anywhere in the political spectrum then they are fair game, office holder or not, adult children, mother, adult cousin... . If they are not then they are not fair game. Hunter is fair game.

Most likely.
But they wouldn't want to spend their own stash, they probably used Biden's campaign funds to pay that off...what else are they using those funds for, other than to bail out antifa/blm.

Joe Biden was the former vice president. Hunter just so happened to acquire a job in Ukraine working for a Burisma, paying hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, despite not having any qualifications or expertise for such a job. Hence, people assume he got the job thanks to sleazy shady Joe Biden, who has admitted to using his position of power to threaten and fire people of foreign governments. It's not unreasonable to assume Hunter acquired that job thanks to his father's position of power. There's a name for that that democrats like to use when talking about Trump. You know... Nepotism. So if someone like Jared Kushner is open to attack and ridicule by the left, than so is Hunter Biden.

The reality is though, Joe Biden does enough damage to his own campaign. Trump supporters don't need to bring up Hunter Biden to disparage the barely active Biden campaign effort.

So if Biden's son is fair game, where is the outrage about Trump's kids being on the board of directors of a fraudulent charity - the Trump Foundation? Then there is the Eric Trump Foundation which funneled money not to children's charities but to events like the Little Baby Face Foundation which was a dinner to honor Eric Trump, another was for a golfing outing. In short, money was raised for one charity and given elsewhere; that's fraud.

I suppose that attacking family members is a new norm and a new low. William Franklin, Benjamin Franklin's son, was a steadfast Loyalist to the Crown. Yet, Franklin was not attacked for the actions of his son which he could not control. During the Civil War when families were divided, members on one side were not held accountable for the actions of their relatives on the other. But alas, these norms are gone and don't bode well for the Republic.
