They're supposed to be our representatives. How the hell do they get to go home when so many are out there, twisting in the wind? They should have to stay locked up in chambers until they come up with a deal. It's criminal. Shame on both houses of Congress. They have failed us once again. That seems to be the only thing they're good at, failing everyday Americans. They just don't give a damn.

I agree. Until they come to an agreement, suspend their pay so that they can be like many in this country who have no pay due to the shutdowns. If they take a day to hammer it out then they lose a days pay, if they take a week then they lose a weeks pay, a month then a months pay, and so on...once they lose it then it's gone for good.

That won't work. Look at all the millionaires in congress. You think they'll care if they're small congressional income get's cut off?

Democrat leadership doesn't give even half a s**t about the people. They have one goal, and that's to make the president look bad. I'm not really sure how THEM going home makes HIM look bad in this case, but I'm sure the folks at CNN are all over it. What amazes me is how many people don't see it. Hate Trump all you want... but facts is facts, and Nancy Pelosi needs the lion's share of blame for this.
