Carolyn "open it all up" Goodman, Jair Bolsonaro must be very jealous of "open it all" up Gavin Newsom.

Other than Silicon Valley, the state of California is economically getting worse by the day so it seems like this is desperate reopen move will falter just like the massive reopenings.

Gavin Newsom is dreaming of packed schools as early September 1st. A massive COVID-19 jubilee is what he and California want.

Will be interesting to see what happens in New York compared to California over the coming months.

New York did terrible in the beginning, but did an excellent job and continue to do so on COVID-19

Gavin Newsom closed it up in March, massive reopening in May with massive crowds spreading COVID-19, then he closed it up in July and for September after marginally lower case counts for just days he is planning on a massive reopening like no state in America has ever seen before.

Gavin Newsom is about the unveil the biggest, boldest COVID-19 experiment yet, and he as a native-San Franciscan where a culture of dismissiveness and not giving a care about others health is a San Francisco value.

Massive reopnings coming after just days of marginally lower case counts from a very high threshold which had the military scrambling to contain the overwhelmed California hospitals.

New York is being very smart. The vaccine might only be months away and things can wait. Because of the actions on COVID-19 which were terrible early in NYC, but excellent now they have some of the lowest numbers outside of Asia it seems.

I hope he fully opens up the entire state of CA. Then we will really see what happens. My guess......nothing, except to a few and far in between. Biden will sure be P O'd though.

Just like other governors out there, he just can't win!!! If he doesn't open up, he's destroying the economy. If he does up, he's viciously killing the citizens. I'm content with the way that our Gov Abbott opened up our economy and encouraged use of the masks. I think that the governors are doing the best that they can.

Time to bump this thread, looks like Newsom didn't practiced what he preached last week-end. https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics...e-15725393.php
Quote:
SACRAMENTO — Gov. Gavin Newsom attended a birthday party for one of his political advisers last week that included people from several households, the type of gathering his administration has discouraged during the coronavirus pandemic.

The dinner the night of Nov. 6 at the famed French Laundry in Yountville in Napa County brought together at least 12 people to celebrate the 50th birthday of Jason Kinney, a longtime friend and political adviser to Newsom who is also a partner at the lobbying firm Axiom Advisors. In addition to the governor, his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, was in attendance.

I see left out a key detail: the dinner was outdoors, in full compliance with state and local protocols.
