O.k. but the country has also witnessed this summer what happens when law enforcement won't take action to protect property and a mob runs wild.

Maybe Goetz was a nut job as some suggested during his trial and maybe 17 year old Kyle Rittenhouse wanted to "make a difference." Wanted to be a hero... and right where were his parents? WTF was he doing there?

But whatever the reason he's going to walk. Not a chance he's going to be found guilty of murder or anything remotely close.

The media? They are going to drop this because their narrative doesn't fit the video clip of the shooting.

And just as a majority of the public sided with Goetz back in 1984 they will do the same for Kyle Rittenhouse today.
And what happened to Goetz?

Goetz was then re-indicted by a second grand jury on more serious charges. At a later jury trial he was found guilty of one count of carrying an unlicensed firearm, for which he served eight months of a one-year sentence. In 1996, Cabey, who had been left paraplegic and brain damaged as a result of his injuries, obtained a civil judgment of $43 million against Goetz
The knucklehead who lost his bicep to the .223 round will claim he was simply trying to detain a murderer based on what he knew at the time, not to mention the survivors of the man-child skateboard revolutionary, and the kid's family will almost certainly have several civil judgements looming over them for the rest of their lives, once the kid gets out of juvenile detention in three years or so (which is my prediction for the criminal case.)

Goetz had been robbed in the subway a number of times and he was threatened yet again, he didn’t instigate the confrontation, poor comparison.

A 17 year old brings a rifle to another state and this is viewed as normal in this country.
He will pay for his mistake.
My question to you is do you think "peaceful protesters" bringing handguns to protest is viewed as normal ?

Maybe they're tired of being confronted by rifle-toting militia man-children? Doesn't the Second Amendment apply to everyone?

Wow, that's a breathtakingly stupid comment....on pretty much every front.

It takes skill to comprise such a foolish statement, I have to assume you did so intentionally.

If you agree with that why even question the normalcy of the kid with the rifle?

It's a public which is fed up where the similarity lies. In Goetz case the out of control crime in NY.

It this instance it's out of control mobs.

I think we use that word way too loosely now days. Often there is a thin line between being heroic and just reckless. That should not be such an easy title to give out,to everybody who makes us proud or feel good.

I saw that, which leads me to believe that was no AR-15, but a .308 AR-10.
