The establishment wins the war, middle class America loses. We continue our slow march leftward. Illegal immigration contiunes unchecked, and so on.

If Trump wins, the left goes ballistic and we have 4 more years of riots.

I'm more concerned with when I am going to be able to attend a sporting event, a concert, or drop into my local bar and listen to some music. Fed up with a still partial lockdown for a virus that is being played for all its worth by the politicians.
I’m not happy with being shut out of the social things, either, but I am more worried about what will happen if the Dems win and they increase the bribes to get illegal aliens to come here. I can’t see how a country can sustain itself it deliberately imported unskilled, uneducated foreigners who can’t afford to support their families.

Also, will we see official government demands similar to the BLM blackmail, in which companies are forced to give advantages to blacks (employees, supply chains)? If Sanders and/or Warren were on the ticket - or even more so if the Green Party were a viable competitor - then some of those scenarios you've theorized might be somewhat closer to the seeming "nightmare" scenarios you portray. However, a relatively Biden-Harris ticket won't come anywhere close to aspiring to any of that; the idea of those two being "socialist" is but hype manufactured by Trump and his most loyal surrogates in government and media.

As it is, there is only so much a clear majority in Washington can get done in two years. To wit, Obama spent all his political capital on the ACA while Trump spent his on the tax cut bill.

What *would* probably happen in a Biden-Harris presidency is that taxes will be raised on those who managed to prosper despite and especially because of the pandemic. The traditional Republican policy to cut taxes and spending, usually at the expense of those who are already suffering, isn't going to work this time. Perhaps if one takes a big metaphorical cleaver to the defense budget, starting with that trillion dollar F-35 boondoggle, but neither the candidate let alone the incumbent are going to meaningfully touch that third rail.

Whaaat?

Student loads should never have been un-dismissable in bankruptcy court in the first place. That way nobody trying to major in gender or fat studies would ever have gotten a loan in the first place and only people who studied actually valuable subjects would have gotten loans and we wouldn't have had the problems we have today

DC and Puerto Rico will become states, and Trump and his cronies will be prosecuted and will be sent to jail. Democrats will pass a wide array of bills to protect healthcare, equality, and gun safety. With that popular record, they will continue to win in 2022 and beyond with large public support. Republicans will probably be fully locked out of the government for the next decade or so.

Lots of people said the same thing about Trumps chances of winning too!

I hope so. Immediately kill the filibuster, grant statehood to DC and PR, secure voting access, make election day a holiday, and reverse gerrymandered districts and it'll be a while before we see the regressive face of Conservatives on the Senate majority.

Probably will be similar to the 2008-2010 time frame or 2016-2018 timeframe. The party in charge will get one or two major things on their agenda acomplished. There will probably be some in-fighting within the party and enough resistance from the other side to prevent the Democrats from ramming through their whole agenda. That is why we have the 3 branches of government.
