The anarchy, violence and strife that Antifa has been instigating and promoting is just a tactic, it is not their ultimate goal. These are tactics have been advocated and used by the totalitarian socialists of all stripes, including Marxists, fascists, and now our own domestic "Progressives" as well. Birds of a feather....

The goal of Antifa, Black Lives Matter, George Soros and his Open Society movement, and also the broader globalism ideology is to destabilize our country in order to usher in the totalitarian state that they lust after - with them in charge of course, and with no opposition permitted.

While we still have democracy today, the Democrat left has made it abundantly clear that they do not respect democracy, unless they win and are in total control. Otherwise, their response has become give us our way, or we will "burn it down". And these two groups working together - Antifa and BLM, have been actively doing exactly that, live on television and video for all to see. It has been a surreal horror show, to put it mildly.

These people are just plain evil. That is what they are.
So now you are doing the exact same thing you accused CNN of doing as regard the Proud Boys, accusing them of things assumed

-but not in their tenets or literature

Somebody could do the same thongs as say "but the Proud boys are liars, their real agenda is A,B, and C"

Antifa's roots go back to Europe.
They became most noticed in the U.S. for appearing in Charlottesville in 2017 to counter protest the Unite the Right rally

at the bottom we see the confederate flag.

Unite The Right Rally 2017

Prominent far-right figures in attendance included National Policy Institute Chairman and white supremacist Richard Spencer,[78] entertainer and internet troll Baked Alaska,[78] former Libertarian Party candidate Augustus Invictus,[79] former Ku Klux Klan Imperial Wizard David Duke,[80] Identity Evropa leader Nathan Damigo,[81] Traditionalist Workers Party leader Matthew Heimbach,[78] Right Stuff founder Mike Enoch,[78] Eric Striker of The Daily Stormer,[82] League of the South founder and leader Michael Hill,[10] Red Ice host and founder Henrik Palmgren,[83] The Rebel Media commentator Faith Goldy,[84] Right Side Broadcasting Network host Nick Fuentes,[85] YouTube personality James Allsup,[85] Altright.com European editor Daniel Friberg,[86] former Business Insider CTO Pax Dickinson,[87] Right Stuff blogger Johnny Monoxide,[88] Daily Stormer writers Robert "Azzmador" Ray and Gabriel "Zeiger" Sohier-Chaput,[89] Daily Caller contributor and rally organizer Jason Kessler,[90] and Radical Agenda host Christopher Cantwell.[91][92] Gavin McInnes, the leader of the self-described "Western chauvinist" Proud Boys was invited to attend but declined because of an unwillingness "to be associated with explicit neo-Nazis" although the militia wing of the group the aforementioned Fraternal Order of the Alt-Knights did attend.[21] In June, ahead of the rally, McInnes declared that "we need to distance ourselves from them", but "after backlash to the original disavowal flared-up from Alt-Right circles, the statement was withdrawn and replaced with another distancing the Proud Boys from the event yet also encouraging those who 'feel compelled' to attend".

Militias
Numerous armed, right-wing militia groups were present at the rally, claiming to be there to protect the First Amendment rights of the demonstrators. Groups involved included the Pennsylvania Light Foot Militia,[95] the New York Light Foot Militia,[96] the Virginia Minutemen Militia,[97] and the 3 Percenters.[98]

Counter-protesters
Those who marched in opposition to the rally were unified in opposition to white supremacy, but "espoused a wide array of ideological beliefs, preferred tactics and political goals. A large number were ordinary residents of Charlottesville who wanted to show their disdain for white supremacist groups, particularly after the Ku Klux Klan held a rally in the city on July 8."[99] Ahead of the rally, an array of "faith-based groups, civil rights organizations, local businesses, and faculty and students at the University of Virginia" planned counterprotests.[47] In July 2017, the ecumenical and interfaith clergy group Congregate Charlottesville called for a thousand members of the clergy to counterprotest at the rally.[61][100] The Charlottesville House of Prayer also gathered at the site to pray. Groups counterprotesting included representatives from the National Council of Churches,[101] Black Lives Matter,[102] Anti-Racist Action,[103] the Democratic Socialists of America,[104] the Workers World Party,[105] the Revolutionary Communist Party,[106] Refuse Fascism,[107] Redneck Revolt,[108] the Industrial Workers of the World,[109][110] the Metropolitan Anarchist Coordinating Council,[111] and Showing Up for Racial Justice.[103][112][113] Members of the Antifa movement were also in attendance.[24] Some counter-protesters came armed.[114]

Video of the vehicular ramming that killed one person and injured 19
After the aborted rally, at around 1:45 p.m.[172] James Alex Fields Jr. drove his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, hitting several and slamming into a stopped sedan, which in turn struck a stopped minivan; both were pushed into the crowd. Fields then reversed his car through the crowd and drove off. One person was killed and 19 others injured. Police determined the attack was deliberate.[173]

“I denounce White supremacy,” Mr. Tarrio said in a Thursday interview with WSVN-TV in Miami. “I denounce anti-Semitism. I denounce racism. I denounce fascism. I denounce communism and any other -ism that is prejudiced toward people because of their race, religion, culture, tone of skin.” "

-Enrique Tarrio, International Chairman of the Proud Boys (from https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ite-supremaci/)

So this black man denounces white supremacy and racism. And they STILL allow him to not only be in their group, but to actually lead the group.

From the same article:

"Wilfred Reilly, who teaches political science at Kentucky State University, a historically Black college, said “the Proud Boys aren’t White supremacists.” He said the group espouses a “Western chauvinism” philosophy, which isn’t the same as White supremacy."

and from the head of their Utah chapter:

" “We have a vetting system that gets just those guys out of our hair. We do not have anything to do with White supremacy. We do not have anything to do with the Ku Klux Klan. We denounce those organizations.” "

The national leader of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, who is Cuban, is here interviewed by CNN. See for yourself.

Although we do see Proud Boys founder Gavin McIness here with a T-shirt here for the racist punk band Skrewdriver
and his friend at the upper left white nationalist Richard Spencer

The goal of the group is to promote the idea that Western civilization is superior and use violence to do it

However they are not overt white supremacists. The group is not Enrique Tarrio's creation. He is merely a tool
