Shrug.. People go to the Hitler example because he was the only one they can think of, and is somehow unique. Hah! This pattern repeats itself throughout history, how external countries divide one side vs's another, how strongmen come to power, and the tactics of fascism.
Then go further back through civil wars, and back into the entire history of rome. Surprisingly enough there are even examples of the hero strongman, who came, fixed everything...and then left again to retire. Sadly they often later got assassinated. Trump isnt that guy. LOL.

So if blacks object to something as being insulting to their history and experience, you’d just shrug that off too?
That one example was pulled out before in a similar thread. You have tons of Jews, including survivors, telling liberals that it is insulting to make such a despicable comparison as Trump to Hitler, and you found ONE Jew who agrees with you. So that means you can ignore all the Jews who are DISGUSTED that leftists keep making the comparison?
I do think this gets right to the heart of the problem. The political Left seems to believe that if one person belonging to a group of people says or does something, that instantly and irrevocably colors the entire group as both complicit and endorsing it -- but only if it supports their narrative.
You're seeing a lot of this with the attempts to smear the Proud Boys based on one guy doing one thing at one point in time. For the record, I'm not 100% on board with the Proud Boys. They tend to go from 0 to all-out brawl far too quickly. But they aren't the ones starting the fights. They're not trying to burn the country down, erase our history and blame white people for everything they think is wrong with the world. That's Antifa and Black Lives Matter -- two heads of the same Marxist Revolutionary snake really.
Like I've said many times, if Donald Trump is in the business of gassing the Jews or the blacks or the Hispanics or any of the extreme things the delusional Left claims, he's just wasted 4 years not doing those things and doing a whole lot of the exact opposite.
Trump is not Hitler. But since Charlottesville and Pittsburg, I don't feel safe in Temple. I have worshipped in Temple Beth Israel in Charlottesville, members of my family go to Or L'Simcha Congregation in Pittsburg. He certainly uses right wing expressions. In Pittsburg, when speaking to Americans who are Jewish he referred to the Israeli PM as their PM. That underscores the idea that Jews are the other, not part of the US with loyalties elsewhere; why is Trump regurgitating right wing tropes?
Just as we have been hated, targeted and expelled for being who we are, so too are the refugees and immigrants of today. Just as we sought and were denied safe haven in one country after another when we were in danger, so too are the refugees and immigrants of our day as they are put in what are concentration camps, albeit they are not extermination camps, though they are turning into them with disease outbreaks from Covid to measles; one in VA is being investigated for systemic child abuse.
Hitler was appointed Chancellor after complex negotiations and von Papen and others convinced Hindenburg that they could control him. They were wrong. Thus the unease, that Trump and his administration think they can control the far right extremists, but they could be wrong.
Why would Trump condemn militia groups?
Militias are protected by the 2nd amendment, and most militia folks are good, patriotic Americans.
The left is really reaching in trying to label all of these groups as "white supremacist".
Proud Boys isn't white supremacist.
Most militia groups are not white supremacist.
The Covington kids were not white supremacists.
People who wear MAGA hats are not white supremacists.
Sad as it is, because off what blm started.....we need The Proud Boys, and people like them, otherwise, we are not even safe too dine out, with blm in our faces.
Bwahahhahaa. Oh wow. Yeah no. Proud boys are not there to make you safe. Something bads gonna happen. You are taking folks home if you care about them. BLM is primarily a protest. Proud boys are a fighting group.
Hitler didn’t immediately start gassing. But these men preach in a similar manner.
Identify an enemy as a unifying cause.
If this particular group of people weren’t here, then your lives would be better.
Only I can protect you from this enemy.
The left will most likely be the ones who will do the gassing, they have more in common with Hitler, even if they don’t realize it.
