I certainly hope there will be major celebrations. The voyage of Mayflower and the settlement at Plymouth are foundational events in the history of the United States and their 400th anniversary deserve to be celebrated with great pomp and ceremony.
My guess though is that a combination of covid restrictions and the 'woke' awakening will see that this momentous occasion is largely overlooked. This is most unfortunate in my opinion.
That day will face similar consequences such as Columbus Day, George Washington's Birthday etc
Although not officially connected, the BLM movement is philosophically ties with the 1619 project. Right now the BLM is winning the narrative, you cannot disagree, the media, Hollywood, Sports Entertainment all agree with BLM. Of I almost forgot, the tech companies agree with BLM as well. The Tech companies dictate our culture now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_1619_Project
Sadly, a Google News search for "Mayflower anniversary" reveals that there is near zero media interest in what is arguably the most seminal event in American history.

Don't forget Thanksgiving day as well as Christmas too. Also the 4th of July 1776 is not recognized as the founding of America it is 1619 as its founding. Probably through Easter in their too.
Yes it sucks that some came to this country as passengers and others came as freight.
There were no slaves on the Mayflower.
