We had the Kennedys and now we have the Trumps.

Let’s face it — Trump came from nowhere and within 4-5 years he won the presidency and followed it up 4 years later by receiving more votes than any sitting President in history. Impressive to say the least. Nearly all the polls we saw for 4 years were simply fantasy created to shape a narrative to bring down Trump.

Trump added 10 million additional followers despite humanities greatest political effort against....anything! Time, money, man hours, comment sections, forums, Abrams — a record amount of resistance was waged.

It’s clear that no matter what the final tally is — America is a country that has moved CLOSER to Trump after 4 years.

Even the biggest fans of Trump would’ve had their minds blown by a level of support that easily trounces even peak Obama.

4-5 years of attacking Trump for what? To prevent him from reaching 80 million votes?

For those that are simply repulsed by Trump to the point of him being Hitler in their minds....did you achieve your goal if in the process you created 10M additional “Hitler” followers?

All he did was open people's eyes to establishment corruption.

They will no longer be trusted.

Criminal actions? Obstruction of justice? Bribery?
Once he leaves office and becomes subject to the rule of law, like everyone else, then we shall see exactly why over half the country has been so up in arms about him.

"Trump” is now a name engrained in American politics for generations

Perhaps not in the way you imagine though.

Of course Trump never won a popular vote or reelection. But he did OK for a loser although he'll be judged more like a Nixon than a Kennedy and as one of only three impeached Presidents.

Yeah, one of the longest lasting legacies of the Trump will that.

And it took someone just like Trump to take all the bashing and brush it off with this I’m never losing attitude. The Trump persona soaks up negativity and turns it into support.

Its way too early to determine what his influence and legacy will be. The Kennedy family had wealth, a war hero awarded the Navy Cross, two ambassadors, three senators and a president. Its influence spanned over 60 years in business and politics.

Let face it he may have "followed it up 4 years later by receiving more votes than any sitting President in history." but he still lost by over 7 million votes. For the record President Obama beat his opponent in the 2008 race by 9.5 million, 12 year later their are more registered voters so of course the total numbers are higher.

Trump was an experiment that failed, he has left such a bad taste in people mouths that the potential of an outsider succeeding in running for decades to come is slim to none. He will be remembered as the most infamous President in modern memory and his poor conduct will be a reference that politicians will avoid for decades to come.

Con man, BS artist who basically destroyed his own chances of a 2nd term almost intentionally.

Trump will become the Democrat’s version of Hillary — a career criminal always close to capture but still somehow a fixture of American politics.
