AOC baffles Jewish community by refusing to meet with leaders (Congress, Israel)

"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has rebuffed requests to meet with New York’s prominent Jewish leaders.


The heads of both the Jewish Community Relations Council and the New York Board of Rabbis said they’ve sought sit-downs with the first-term “Democratic socialist” congresswoman — to no avail.


“I requested a meeting with her and it has not come to fruition,” JCRC executive director Michael Miller told The Post."




Both of the groups are supportive of Israel.

Much ado about nothing. The article says that she agreed to meet with them. They are simply upset that the meeting has not been scheduled yet.

The article states that she participated in an anti-Semitism walk over the Brooklyn bridge early this year. So perhaps they just need to be patient.

Why are they baffled? Her best friends in Congress are people who want to kill all of them. They are working to achieve that goal.

Somewhere around 70% of jewish Americans typically vote democrat in presidential elections.
Maybe when they realize that a good chunk of the political left is anti-Israel, and that prominent anti-semites & white supremacists (such as Spencer & Duke) are voting democrat, then maybe that 70% will start asking questions and possibly change their mind?

President Trump is probably the most pro-Israel president in U.S. history.
They're naming entire neighborhoods after president Trump in Israel because he's been such a strong ally.

I had distant Jewish relatives from Eastern Europe.They fled to the US just after WW2.They understood what the left was here yet still voted Democrat and were against firearms and the Second Amendment.
We would have large family gatherings. here in December with decisions on wide ranging topics.They were totality pacifist but didnt mind someone else getting his hands dirty for "his side ".
I admire the young men and women who fought in the Warsaw Ghetto agenst overwhelming odds with few weapons since they had been turned in to the Nazis by there elders.
Folks never learn .
I bet if they were still alive they would vote for AOC.
