Nice sound bite. I'll take it to mean you've capitulated because you have no logical counter to my post.

The only ones getting screwed are high income earners. The only ones who aren't getting screwed are the bottom 50% who don't pay taxes. Please explain why I have to subsidize your lifestyle.

That's foolish. In communism, there always needs to be a strongman because who else is going to force others into communism?

None of them. I prefer things that work best no matter how we label them. For many things I think that is capitalism. But thinking capitalism is the only answer is just stupid. Pick the tool that works best for the item being discussed. Sometimes that is not capitalism. Mostly it is.

Small scale Communism has been tried and highly successful for most of human history. Nuns, monks and a commune full of hippies are all Communism.

Marx was trying figure out how to scale that up to national and worldwide level. How do you get everyone to accept the new Communist utopia and how do you keep Capitalism from recreating itself? Marxist Communism requires somebody to come along and "rule with an iron fist," essentially handing absolute power to a tiny group of people. This is where Karl Marx demonstrates how idiotic he really was. This group ruling with an iron fist was supposed to voluntarily give up power at some point. We all know what happens next. "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." The people given the power will never give it up and they'll massacre anyone who threatens their hold on it.

All Marxist Communism has ever succeeded in doing is creating misery and death on an unprecedented scale.

I chose capitalism, but that is theoretical, since we don't have any such thing in the world, minus black/grey markets and individual trade under the table and out of Leviathan's sight.

Regulated trade ain't capitalism. It's a government created/sponsored racket that is oligarchy under the guise of part capitalism, part socialism, part communism and all skeevy-ism.

But given how wonderfully and simply black/gray markets and under the table individual trade works when the interference of Leviathan is removed entirely....hell yeah, give me all of that, all the time, in every possible area of the economy.

How does your theory measure up if the formula used were taxes paid as a percentage of income?

LOL! 88% says they prefer capitalism, yet this country has been running towards socialism as fast it can.

Do people even know what capitalism is? Rule of law, free trade, and private ownership of property?

You can’t have free trade with a crap load of government regulations.

You can’t have private ownership of properties when you have to pay property or income tax.

You can’t have rule of law when the 51% actively votes to depriving the rights of the other 49%.
