I have a co-worker that is about as far left as you can get. He's always on about how if the government takes care of so many things in your life for you just how great that will be.
It has appeal to so many people, free college, free this or free that. They spin it like it's something great and we know that in real life socialism does not work, never has worked, all it's done it made people at the top filthy rich and the rest become enslaved in some form or another.
It's being market to young people especially, these kids are comin out of school with mountains of debt and less opportunities than in the past, for some at least.
The trade offs are too numerous to list and I'm afraid long term that they will indeed win. This is way past trump. Trump will be gone in 4 yrs if he wins. What about the next president, most likely based on historical patterns will be a Democrat. What if the Dem party does indeed get hijacked by the far left crowd that can present a palatable propaganda campaign that the American people erroneously fall for???

I have no doubt that they'll fund these freebies for a few years just to get the young kids on the fish hook. If you go and do some extensive research on the "promises" of socialism, you'll find the actual delivery rate to be about 10%. So take your promised pension, healthcare, standard income, and everything else and / 10.

These youngsters will eventually learn.....the hard way! The ironic thing is in 10-15 years, they'll look back and ask themselves "why were we TDSing so hard when he wasn't even the real enemy?" In other words, they'll learn who the enemy is...after it's too late to do anything about it.

It's technically correct to say that Bernie Sanders represents 1/50 of the Senate, isn't it? But in reality he represents about 45% of Democrats. She is a very close associate of Sanders and his appointed surrogate. It can logically and reasonably be inferred that his supporters would also support her. In fact, no less than the chairman of the Democratic National Committee believes that this idiot is "the future face of the Democratic party"!
I live only about 20 miles east of her district. There is little chance that she can be ever defeated in a primary, and certainly not in a general election. She has raised and will raise WAY MORE money that all her opponents combined. And there's more coming if needed. That's because she has made herself into a national figure, a darling of the left. At the snap of her fingers she could have thousands of volunteers from all over the country swarming her district.
The only positive I can say about her is that she is not evil, just ignorant and stupid. All she knows is what she's fed in her monthly Socialists of America propaganda manifesto. There are two other new and radical Dem congresswomen, Omar and Tlaib, who ARE evil. They are much more dangerous than this silly little girl. In fact, I think that this girl will in the future be good for Republicans in that she is pulling the party to the radical left. The Democratic establishment has endorsed her Green New Mess. After she grows up she'll be in line to inherit the leadership of the radical part (45 - 50%) of the party. Radical leftism (or radical rightism) will not win elections.
She is simply so annoying and smug . . . I honestly wish she would just go back to bartending.

Well all one has to do now it listen to the Dem party. She is their darling. Pelosi did tell her to sit down and learn when she was first elected but she was steamrolled by the squad.
