No they are not! Americans, specifically companies like Wal-Mart (the Waltons, who also pushed for doing away with death taxes) forced their vendors to go to China - they are the single largest importers from China.
Meanwhile, American corporations here at home fought against unions, wage increases and expanded benefits.
They won. All the Chinese did was work hard....and not test drug positive like so many Americans.
The hollowing out of American manufacturing hit full gear under Reagan. That's when the Rust Belt got the name.
If there is one "people" to blame it's Americans....and if there is one economic view to blame, it's the Chicago school.
