I wonder if 16 million new people on the government payroll is all it will take to insure people get the free stuff they want or is that just a starting point !!!
The agenda was borne out of the coronavirus pandemic as the Working Families Party set out to define a vision for COVID-19 relief while plotting a path for an economic recovery. The plan calls for canceling rent and banning foreclosures during the pandemic, retroactive hazard pay for essential workers, delaying school openings and extending $600 federal unemployment benefits.
The aspirational agenda also includes taking on systemic racism, eliminating housing and zoning rules that enable segregation, putting 16 million to work, taxing billionaires and large corporations. The activists want investment to fight climate change, giving the public ownership stakes in all corporations receiving bailouts and public buyouts of oil and gas companies to take on climate change.
"Not only do we think this document speaks to the moral crisis we're in ... we also think it's really good policy," Mitchell told Fox News. "And it's popular. This is what people actually want."
Coming out NOW with this NOT is going to hurt biden 1 bit. In FACT it will HURT him, IMO.
Taxing billionaires and corporations yes, the rest no.
Typical lefty response, they want OTHERS to pay, so they will NOT have to, not realizing they pay the MOST in taxes now. And taxing corporations MORE may cause them to go OUT of business and look at all the revenues the gov't loses and the jobs lost, which in turn can make the gov't pay out MORE in unemployment insurance, welfare, food stamps, etc.

Every communist regime arose from playing up the populist rhetoric of redistributing wealth from the rich to the poor including some of the most brutal regimes like Lenin-Stalin Russia, Maoist China, Castro Cuba, etc. but instead of creating wealth for everyone, it consolidated power for a few and made their whole country poor and miserable.
China was poor and destitute under Mao. When China finally made market reforms and embraced capitalism, that’s when they finally gain wealth. Funny part is that China now has more 1%’ers than it has ever had and everyone there is better off because of it.
Who cares how much money the rich have. Americans have seen huge gains in income and poverty is declining. I don't need to tax the rich to make my life better. Why is the far left so unhinged with greed?

I think corporate income taxes should be eliminated altogether. Replace with a consumption tax.
It's not so much government.....yet. It's the Media, Education, Corporations, Tech, Social Media, Entertainment, Sports, etc. All becoming or already radically, Far Left.
I would say that after elections --all will fall back to normal- I normally go about my daily routine,,, election year it's 24/7 politics! I may scream a lot right now, but I am a pretty conservative for a left leaning independent, as I can see most are not these monsters the left have created. We are your Drs., nurses, teachers, police officers, Fed employees etc.
There will be some shift, but not an overturn! relax! most want the same thing... and the radials on both sides are few!
