Supposedly Biden does not really represent dems. Republicans are too far right while democrats are becoming more conservative because they are looking for normality that never existed. They don't wanna go full-on Bernie. But this will mean that there won't be a left-wing any more overtime but only extreme right nationalism. But I'm paraphrasing.
Biden is a "meh" candidate, and that's why people are voting for him because they are exhausted from the past 4 years.
While people voted for Trump for the opposite reasons.
But I think it's like the quote:

RW hauls the nation way to the right, Democrats only get it partway back.
Cycle repeats until we are a RW reactionary nation looking for an enemy to attack in order to unify us.
Trump hauled the nation way to the right ? Obama-Biden turned the country into practically a left wing banana republic complete with rioting and attempted coups. Kamala-Harris would take it further left than Obama did.
The country is always moving leftward nonstop no matter Republican or Democrat, just slower with a Republican and pulled back a little.
