What I am seeing (all of these are in ratios):

-Overall, I see more signs than I did 4 years ago for both sides.

-When I've been Up North there were about 5 to 1 Trump signs, but that is actually a smaller ratio of Trump to Hillary signs Up North than 4 years ago.

-A nice Upper Middle Class subdivision was about 3 to 1 for Romney 8 years ago and a slight favorite for Trump 4 years ago. This time it is about 3 to 2 for Biden or better.

-White working class neighborhood about 3 to 2 for Biden. Had been 50-50 4 years ago.

-An affluent city about 2 to 1 Biden signs, where as it was more like 3 to 2 4 years ago.

-For the first time ever, large Democrat billboards for their candidate. The Republicans had always dominated that.

-Rural lower Michigan, massive Trump edge on the country roads by about 8 to 1. Rural lower Michigan villages about 1 to 1 between the two.

Bottom line:

In a state that came down to a narrow margin of victory last time, compared to 4 years ago, I think Biden is doing multiples better with yard signs than Hillary did, while Trump is doing better than he did 4 years ago, it is nowhere near the gains.

4 years ago I saw a lot more Trump signs than Hillary signs. This year it is probably 50-50 or with a slight Biden edge.

*There could be some shy Trump voters. I know 1 person who had a Trump sign 4 years ago, but who doesn't have one for fear of retribution. This is not common though and I still see more Trump signs than 4 years ago.
Good posting and I can give a similar report here from middle class PA.

Four years ago there were zero Hillary signs to be found in this area. I can't remember seeing a single one, and there were plenty of Trump signs.
This time its a 50%/50% split between Biden & Trump signs.

Do you really believe that, or is it really people are groupies picking a side like they would a sporting event? You ever listen to Phil. Eagles fans? Yeah they sound a whole lot like political groupies. Just saying.
Look at the debates on this forum. Change the names and it works both ways.

It is a lot of that. But what's wrong with picking a side of two viable sides and advocating? Which side wins has a lot more at stake than a sporting event. With Trump signs I think it is an element of defiance.

I don't know anyone who's mind has been changed by seeing a yard sign. I just don't see the point in them.

Maybe.

The problem with picking a side in this case is your picking a head on a 2 headed beast. In the end you are still picking the same beast. That is the problem. People keep enabling the beast.

There is also the factor that people who plant Biden signs will really vote for Trump in privacy.

That is slight.

We have the same issue this time as 2016. A lot of People are voting for the candidate they dislike least, not because they buy in to the BS. The rest the vote is for party. Stewart the mouse could be the candidate and they will vote for the mouse because he is the right party.

Trump and Biden are excellent examples that make that point. Do you think Biden or Trump as they are today, would have stood a chance 30 years ago?

No question about this. I'm a registered independent, so the phone rings often at the house. Just to entertain myself, I've told the last three callers that yes, I wholeheartedly am going to vote for Joe Biden.

Polling is truly garbage in, garbage out starting with the runup to the 2016 election.

Just remember that every house without a sign is voting for President Trump!!

He said he wanted to get rid of the payroll tax permanently, which is the same thing as getting rid of Social Security, because that is how it is supported. He is just sneaky in the way he says it. He thinks some will not realize that eliminating the payroll tax will result in eliminating Social Security. So no, this is not a lie or fake news.
