Back in April, Army Corps Engineers and state built a field hospital on fairgrounds in Wisconsin It never opened, until this week.
State appears to be doing what they can to avoid going back to restricting non- urgent admissions. They tried waitlisting admissions and airlifting Covid patients to hospitals with capacity and then ran out of space.
Advocate Aurora is the largest health system in Illinois and operates several hospitals in Wisconsin. Some Illinois employees are being deployed to Wisconsin because beds without healthcare professionals are useless.
Illinois is surrounded by states that are surging. Probably only a matter of time before Round 2.
North Dakota running out of icu beds. The hospitals are overwhelmed. It's predicted this will happen nationally. Fauci says if people wore masks and took the proper measures things like this wouldn't happen.
It is now 3 days later since your post. Do you still stand by your statement that North Dakota hospitals are overwhelmed? Has the North Dakota hospital system collapsed yet?
I hate when people just shoot from the hip, miss completely, then move on to the next target and make yet another outrageous claim.

Illinois cases are surging too. 4000 new cases today. We had massive lockdowns and are destroying people's livelihoods with all sorts of restrictions. We have proud mask wearers all over the place too of course many are wearing BLM looter type scarves which do nothing. Chicago's silly mayor has half the country on a no go list, which is ridiculous.
Maybe we can send the USS Comfort up there so it can sit around empty for a month.
So are you saying being unprepared is the best way? My father in-law is FDNY. They sit around prepared waiting for the disaster so they can react quickly. It's what developed nations do. I understand the leader of this country has made a point. But what's wrong with being prepared?
Ah, the Swedish myth again. A quadrupling of case counts since the beginning of September may or may not be a "second wave" but it is definitely not a downturn. Sweden has nothing approaching "herd mentality". Swedes also listen to their government, wear masks and wash their hands. With winter driving everyone in Europe indoors it is going to get ugly including in Sweden.
