Doesn't stop some people from wearing clothing that most definitely implies favoritism towards certain political parties.

Quote:
Leave all apparel and accessories that feature a candidate’s name, slogan, or any ballot issue at home. Most states have laws that prohibit “electioneering,” or engaging in activities that support a political candidate or party near polling places. Thus, wearing a political shirt is interpreted as a political act, and could prevent you from casting your ballot that day.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, most states have restrictions on whether people can display signs, hand out campaign literature, or solicit votes within a specific distance of a voting station. In Michigan, it’s against the law to wear anything that “directly or indirectly makes reference to an election, a candidate, or a ballot question.” Some states have similar likeness clauses when it comes to a candidate or their logo.

The Washington Post reported that some voters in Georgia and Tennessee have been challenged by poll workers for wearing Black Lives Matter apparel to vote early. One Georgia voter who was challenged acknowledged that some people could view the Black Lives Matter slogan and movement as political, which he disagreed with. “People’s lives are not political,” he told the Post. And while poll workers are expected to be nonpartisan, there could be inconsistencies as to what counts as “political” among these volunteers, who only receive brief training.

What if you're just as confused as Uncle Joe and you show up with both?

Just where a shirt with an American flag on it. That alone tells people you are voting for Trump. I have my Trump flag in the back of my truck and I won't be taking it down when I go vote.

That's so freaking sad that the American Flag automatically get's that rep.

I have used the Flag as my FB icon since 9/11 and now all of a sudden it has this baggage.

It is sad but leftists are blatantly anti American. MILLIONS of people view it that way. See an American flag flying in someones yard or from their porch you can bet 99 times out of 100 they are a trump supporter.

Depends on the state. In many its actually legal to bring your maga hat because it doesn't name trump. It would also be legal to wear a "thats malarky" shirt as long as it didn't attribute the quote. But it is state dependent.

Personally I prefer the more strict standards, we're here to vote, not have folks political propaganda spewed.

Do you plan on driving into the polling place? Parking in the parking lot 100 feet from the door is OK in my state.

Not to worry. I have been threatened with arrest due to holding up a sign at the polling place. Just quote them the law and they'll back off.

When I voted last week, I saw a young guy wearing a "Fudge Trump" shirt walking to the voting line. Hopefully he was deported.

I just remembered I was carrying a republican slate card with a big Trump picture, so it was obvious who I was voting for.

No one really cares who anyone else is voting for, and the rules aren't new. People make their own drama.
