I don't like the word "cup" it sounds too cute

It sounds like "pup" and there's something about the shortness of the word and that UP on the end which contributes to the cuteness.

Why not reserving that for things which are actually cute like pups?

Suppose somebody says "would you like some coffee? "

try this now, say it out loud " thanks I'll have a cup"

Listen to the word "cup" as you say it, it sounds too cute

The next president should
outlaw the word and impose with a fine for saying it.
Think of the revue that could generate to help make America great again.

You might be attached to "cup" because you were raised on it.
That is just social indoctrination. You like it only because you are used to it

Let me know if you make up a new word that is better than cup

and if you are that attached to the word "cup" let me know of an alternative meaning
that is for an actual cute thing
Think I'm wrong? Try putting a Y at the end of cup. That proves the cuteness

thanks

Plus it’s racist. Cup correlates to white privilege and must not ever be used again.

Think of what I slip in my jock when I'm playing sports and it won't seem quite so cute.

Plenty of manly important things that are cups, like the World Cup, or the Stanley Cup. The Holy Grail is a cup.

Critical Cup Theory suggests cups are inherently cute and therefore must be broken whenever found...
