I don't think she has been a liability (Trump is his own biggest liability to himself) but she may as well not have existed at all considering the lack of impression she's made.
I think she has been intelligent to stay out of the political limelight and focus on protecting and looking after her son's best interests.
Her campaign against cyber bullying was a complete failure, she couldn't control her husband.
She has been afford hush money to come out of the woodwork for the campaign and read some teleprompters. Where she goes from here will be fun to watch!
Not at all. Of course, Trump would never have wanted an educated, activist wife. He wouldn't have wanted to share the attention.
But on top of that, most of the people who love Trump seem shallow in their interests. The admire Trump for his brashness and bluster and sexual preening, and they like the idea of a pretty but silent woman at his side.
I revised my opinion slightly.
I should add that Melania might be considered a slight liability for Trump during the campaign. If she were a a smart, educated, articulate person like Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain, she could have headlined important events in Trump's stead. Melania can't.

Well, in this particular case, that's almost irrelevant. Trump's followers want some red meat and a chance to chant "Lock her up" and bask in shared disdain for liberals, they're not coming out to hear boring policy and whatnot.
She's a beautiful woman - an actual former supermodel that doesn't make the cover of glossy magazines because she is married to Donald Trump. She has been gracious throughout her current tenure as First Lady. And if I were Melania Trump my only consideration would be to protect my son from the destructive and toxic wasteland that the media and social media have become in this country. No other platform - just let my husband do his thing because that was his calling, and protect my son.
Was she a supermodel. She was only on the cover of Vogue once - after she got married - a pic in her wedding dress. If i remember correctly?
Supermodel like Linda Evangelista?
