The amount of....hmmm...how should I put this. Callousness this would represent towards innocent children is stunning. Im ashamed my country has done this, and most folks should be.

Then theres the people of CD showing that children are not something they value at all.

But what did those kids do to deserve poor treatment? Their parents may not have done things the proper way but it's not the kids' fault.

I have to wonder if both problems could be solved, or at least addressed better, if there wasn't so much pork barrel bloatware and giving people money for no good public policy reasons. Moderator cut: off topic

So, when Trump protects us from Covid-19, he's wrong again. Okay. The kids are better off like the above posts says, in a similar country with the same language

"Trump administration has said is necessary to prevent the coronavirus from spreading into the United States"

There is no excuse, no reason, no anything for deporting children from countries that are not from Mexico. USA has an agreement with Mexico for MEXICAN children who are not with parents, but how can anyone ever be OK with children from another country simply being dumped without any family or support system like this.

How has the USA become so callous, so depraved, so unemphatic that this is official government policy now?
The real question is how did these children's parents become so callous, so depraved and so unempathetic that they would put their children in this position. They came through Mexico to get here-return to sender. Maybe that will encourage Mexico to secure their borders.

You're under the mistaken impression that the United States has some obligation to fix everyone else's problems. We can't even fix our own - we simply don't have the resources to save the world. I wish we did, and I realize you're coming from a well intentioned position of compassion, but sometimes that's not enough.

You have to remember-those on the left WANT to see this country fail. This is just one more mechanism to that end.

Democrats should give their hard working money to these children around the world via withdraw straight from their paycheck every pay period.

No? Then you’re just pure evil!

a clearer title would be much better, so it's not re-posted (if it hasn't been already since the article is from 10/30)

however, I agree with your premise, and note it is AGAINST official policy to do so. 2 snippets:
Quote:
filed a public records request with Mexican authorities and received data suggesting that at least 208 Central American children had been returned to the custody of Mexican authorities between March 21 and June 5. But the Mexican authorities did not specify how many of the children were traveling alone, and not accompanied by adults.
Quote:
But an email from the U.S. Border Patrol’s assistant chief, Eduardo Sanchez, makes it clear that such transfers have not only occurred, but that they are a clear violation of U.S. policy. “Recently, we have identified several suspected instances where Single Minors (SM) from countries other than Mexico have been expelled via ports of entry rather than referred to ICE Air Operations for expulsion flights,” Mr. Sanchez wrote. "Please note that if not corrected, these actions will place Title 42 operations in significant jeopardy and must be ceased immediately. To reiterate, under no circumstances should a SM from a country other than Mexico be knowingly expelled to Mexico.”

Send them back to their country and let their authorities feed and house them. Word will get out not to send your children here unaccompanied because its useless. They will stop doing it.

First we can feed our own and much more. I just retired as a financial analyst for a fed agency. If you could see the waste, you would vomit. I retired before my plan because it went over the top - and I would not be a part of it.
2 since when do children have the fault ? Callous and evil are those who have thrown those kids to the curb. It’s a hot mess- that I know.
