Currently at 11:00pm, Biden is at 209 electoral votes while Trump has 112. On the other hand, Trump is leading by about 3M popular votes.

I know this doesn't mean anything as most places have only reported about 40% or so of the total counts.

But let's suppose for a moment Trump wins the popular vote but loses the electoral. Would conservatives still want to keep the electoral college?

Hilary Clinton won the popular vote but lost the electoral college. Trump lost the popular vote and won the electoral college. He was still elected. So possible for Biden to get elected.

Absolutely! We keep the EC in place.

It’s early. But no way Trump doesn’t win the EC, anyway.

This is a completely hypothetical situation. No need for you to get all defensive.

This thread is not at all about who gets elected tonight. The situation I proposed in the OP is 100% hypothetical.

Yes, the EC has served us well, keep it.
