Premature move on the part of the media, but not surprising The election is NOT over until it's certified and it has NOT been certified, no matter the wishes of the media and you Trump haters. I'd be careful not to do your happy dance just yet....
You must be new to the US or you'd be aware that it's the norm for elections to be called weeks before the actual votes are certified
What a loser. Trump is the loser of losers. The biggest loser ever. Take it like a man and move on. No one is above the will of the people and the democratic vote.
Trump's concession is not necessary but certification of the election is necessary and required. That won't happen until all challenges to the election are addressed.
Nope. You seem to believe Trump will be able to tie this thing up like he has so much other litigation, it doesn't work that way with US election. There are two events:
Dec 14 - Electoral College meets in Washington DC to declare their state's EV
Jan 6 - Congress certifies it
Note that the congressional duties on January 6th are largely ceremonial, and the Electoral College will meet regardless of outstanding litigation. If a state has an outstanding recount they will be given a deadline to complete it and declare their EVs. Recall that Al Gore conceded on December 13 back in 2000 after the Florida drama went to Supreme Court.
Media cannot declare a candidate the president. That is done through the official electoral vote. And since we STILL have counting of ballots going on, AND the lawsuits set to start next week with the possibility of recounts in NUMEROUS states, that's not happening for a while. I agree that the president shouldn't concede.
There was massive voting fraud happening in states that Trump barely won, I hope they do re-counts there too. I have as much evidence as you do ZERO.
I wanna see him dragged out, kicking and screaming. I wanna see the most embarrassing situation possible for this guy.
