once again, no oath, no judge or legislative body, no cross examination or any other formal process. it was a social gathering in a hotel ballroom with the same legal weight as a bar mitzvah.

If you think it's over. Think again.

The NY Times said of him:

Quote:
Navid Keshavarz-Nia, those who worked with him said, “was always the smartest person in the room.” In doing cybersecurity and technical counterintelligence work for the C.I.A., N.S.A. and F.B.I., he had spent decades connecting top-secret dots.”
He's also worked with corporate financial giants like Deutsche Bank.

In his affidavit filed with Powell's law suit:

Quote:
“I conclude with high confidence that the election 2020 data were altered in all battleground states resulting in a hundreds of thousands of votes that were cast for President Trump to be transferred to Vice President Biden.”
It's one thing for Powell to put her reputation on the line. It's another for this expert in cyber crime to do so. It would ruin his career.

Affidavits are legal testimony. It's the same as raising your hand to tell the whole truth under oath in court. It's just in written form.

no, it's not. testimony in court is then subject to cross examination.

Biden did win.

As I understand it, affidavits can be entered into evidence in court only in limited circumstances. They are generally considered hearsay. They can only be offered for purposes other than to support the truth of the matter asserted in the affidavit. Which makes sense since affidavits cannot be cross-examined. They can be used to support a motion, which appears to be what they are doing in Powell's cases, but they likely cannot be offered as evidence substantively when the matter is decided.
