Trump is challenging that result, and who knows, his challenges may have some merit.

Similar to if you're found guilty in a court of law but you file an appeal.

Or if you get your property tax bill and you go to city hall to contest it.

The vote counts have determined Biden is the winner, but Trump now has the chance to challenge that finding.

Before January 20. Or maybe January 6th actually.
Can you link to an OFFICIAL announcement? Thanks.

(not looking for opinion pieces that claim he's a projected winner)

There is nothing official about it.

I dont know if the court cases have merit or not, or what will happen. I waited the 4 days it took for the powers that be decided who the president was because thats how they are decided. Not by us
Without Trump's challenges to the votes reported by each state, Biden will be declared the winner and inaugurated in January.

These official reports from the states can't be compared to "public opinion". They're vote totals.

And now, as is his right, Trump has a method to officially challenge the election results before January.

Clara, the vote totals aren't complete. Until they are, Biden can't be declared president. Yes, it looks like he will be our president. I seriously doubt any recounts or challenges will lead to enough of a change in votes to change his apparent win, but until the votes are completely tallied - PA has extra time to count, for example - and the votes are officially reported, you can't really say president-elect. It's a technicality, but not without merit.

That's what a task for is, Dark. A group of people with various expertise in an area, to add their skill and knowledge for every aspect of the problem.

And THAT's why it's important to have a president who will assemble very skilled people to collaborate to solve the country's issues we're facing. That's what an excellent leader does. Find talent, and put it to use.
So what solution do you think that this committee will find to the problem of "people of color" contracting coronavirus? I'll bet that they'll recommend social distancing, wearing masks, and increased testing.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, President Bidden assembles a real COVID Task Force

This is like bringing in the rookie quarterback after the team is 50 points ahead. All the hard work was done by the folks over the last 9 months.

I don't understand what the fuss is about.

Biden, who is not yet president or even president-elect, has clearly stated during the campaign he would immediately go to work on covid. He is putting together a transition team for this purpose to hit the ground running.

It is absurd to think this team will start from zero and not build on the progress the science community has done. I would not be surprised if some of the current folks will be asked. I doubt Pence will be one of them, though.

What is the problem with this? This is one of the reasons he got elected.
