This ^^^

Bottom line - they took the money, they spent the money, now they don't want to pay the money back.

I have an old friend, huuuuuge liberal, smart guy intelligence wise.

He took out--are you ready for this-- 350k in loans for his college up to get his PhD.

I was like "You do realize you'll never, EVER be able to pay that off, right?"

It doesn't phase him because he expects loan forgiveness. Irritates me.

350k in student loans I've never heard of anyone with them that high including doctors and lawyers.

Totally opposed. I struggled for years to pay off my loan but finally did it. So have others. Why should the new crop of graduates get a huge break and end up paying nothing? Especially since so many of them have attitudes that they are "superior" because they have a college degree?

I think the blue collar workers in many cases who will end up paying for these entitled snobs education won't forget how they were sneered at over their support of President Trump.

Not fair. All my familly members had to pay every dime of their student loans..

I am angry that illegals get in state tuition ,they pay much less, whille Americans if they go to another state's college have to pay full tuition. Is this fair?

Why should the taxpayer be left with a bill for education when a majority of these people never use the education they were given?

I question the fools who made the loans. Are they looking to be paid off by the government?

I had loans and paid them off.

Why is student loan socialism so much more evil than the health care socialism, farmer socialism, the bailout socialism, the "public services" socialism, etc that all statists support?

I say socialism it up and have fun. You socialists deserve it.

Yeah, I'm a Democrat.

I do admit to pissing off statists - which means both teams - so you can put me down for that.

And then the stupid rules. We lived in Texas for years. Kid was born in Texas. Always lived in Texas. We were transferred so had to pay out of state tuition while we owned property in Austin.

But at time same time, illegals paid in state tuition for the kids the taxpayer had also paid to deliver. Go figure.
